Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters Endorses Doug Stewart for Malibu City Council
LOS ANGELES COUNTY (October 21, 2022) – The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – which has supported pro-environment local candidates throughout Los Angeles County for over four decades – today announced its endorsement of Doug Stewart for Malibu City Council in the upcoming November 8th election.
“Doug Stewart sees environmental issues as deeply engrained in the DNA of Malibu residents and plans to support these values,” said Kirsten James, Endorsement Chair of LALCV. “He would prioritize issues such as reducing plastic pollution and protecting wildlife.”

As a coastal community with significant visitor traffic, Malibu faces many environmental challenges, with frequent periods of drought and climate change creating additional pressures. The recent wildfires have created additional environmental challenges.
