(Los Angeles County) – The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – supporting pro-environment candidates throughout Los Angeles County – announced its endorsement of Dr. Suely Saro, candidate for Long Beach City Council District 6.

“In her first term on the Long Beach City Council, Dr. Saro demonstrated her commitment to environmental issues. In her personal, professional, and political life, she is working toward building a more sustainable Long Beach and California. She is committed to improving the lives of her district, which is one of the most underserved in Long Beach. LALCV is proud to re-endorse Dr. Saro,” said Joshua Torres, LALCV Boardmember.

“The communities I serve in Long Beach’s 6th District are among our most underserved — they have borne the brunt of misguided and shortsighted policies in previous decades that caused pollution, contamination, and inadequate green space in our neighborhoods. I am committed to ensuring that 6th District residents have clean air and water, safe open spaces, and healthy neighborhoods, but there is more work to be done. I am honored to have the support of the Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters, and confident that together we can chart a new path forward,” said Dr. Saro
