Sarah Friedman
Sarah K. Friedman is a Senior Policy Director with Better World Group Advisors where she leads efforts to protect California’s public lands. Previously a campaigner with the Sierra Club, Sarah has worked on a range of issues related to renewable energy and natural resources in California, including work to develop, finalize and protect the landmark Desert Renewable Energy Conservation Plan, defending California’s national monuments and coalition-building at the Salton Sea. Prior to joining the Sierra Club, Sarah worked in private practice as a project finance and real estate attorney representing solar, wind power and geothermal energy developers.
Sarah lives in Echo Park and is passionate about exploring little-known parts of California, history, endemic animal species and forging personal connections over snacks.
Sarah holds a B.A. in History from the University of Oregon and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
