Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters endorses David Ryu for

City of Los Angeles Council District 4

(Los Angeles County) – The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – which has supported pro-environment local candidates throughout Los Angeles County for more than three decades – today announced its endorsement of David Ryu for Los Angeles City Council District 4 in the upcoming March 3 election.

“During his tenure, Councilmember David Ryu has demonstrated his keen interest in ensuring Los Angeles becomes a greener and more livable City,” said LALCV Director Kirsten James, who led the organization’s Endorsement Team for this race.  “He would continue and expand upon this critical work to tackle the City’s many environmental challenges if re-elected.”

Los Angeles faces a wide range of environmental issues from air pollution to water scarcity to oil drilling impacts, with climate change exacerbating the challenges.  In his tenure on Council, David Ryu has championed many environmental initiatives such as expanding open space, revamping the City’s urban forest and securing additional public transportation and mobility options.

“I am humbled to receive the endorsement of the Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters,” Mr. Ryu reflected. “Together, we have fought for environmental justice by expanding park access and green space for all Angelenos. I am committed to working with the LALCV to further LA’s Green New Deal and push our City in the right direction.”
