LOS ANGELES COUNTY (March 12, 2026) — The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV), which supports pro-environment candidates throughout Los Angeles County, endorses Eunisses Hernandez for re-election to Los Angeles City Council, District 1.
Hernandez leads boldly on environmental justice: fighting to cap orphaned and abandoned oil wells, phasing-out neighborhood oil drilling, reducing fire-risks and supporting greener transportation options. “Councilmember Hernandez has proven herself to be a thoughtful and effective leader for a healthy environment. She fights for healthy, safe and affordable housing, clean neighborhoods, and climate action” stated Maro Kakoussian, President, LALCV.
She has demonstrated a clear commitment to protecting community health and advancing housing solutions that avoid displacement. “I’m incredibly proud to receive the endorsement of the Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters,” stated Eunisses Hernandez. “LALCV has been a powerful force pushing our city to take bold action against climate change and environmental racism. In District 1, we see every day how these inequities show up, from oil wells and contaminated brownfields to the lack of green space and protection from extreme heat. I’m grateful for LALCV’s partnership as we continue fighting for climate justice, more tree canopy, more green space, and a healthier, more resilient and sustainable Los Angeles for all of us.”
