LALCV Endorses Hugo Soto-Martinez for Re-Election to Los Angeles City Council, District 13

LOS ANGELES COUNTY (March 12, 2026) — The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV), which supports pro-environment candidates throughout Los Angeles County, endorses Hugo Soto-Martinez for Re-Election to Los Angeles City Council, District 13.

“LALCV endorsed Hugo Soto-Martinez in 2022 because of his strong commitment to environmental justice and building healthier communities across Los Angeles,” said LALCV President Maro Kakoussian. “Since taking office, Hugo has championed expanding reliable transit options that reduce pollution and connect working families to opportunity, while continuing to push for clean air and clean water in neighborhoods that have borne the brunt of environmental harm. He has also been a leading advocate for addressing the long-standing dangers posed by neighborhood oil drilling and holding polluters accountable. LALCV is proud to support his re-election.”

“I’m honored to receive LALCV’s endorsement,” stated Councilmember Soto-Martinez.  “Environmental justice has been a guiding priority of mine since day one and my second term will be no different. Together, we will continue the fight for cleaner air and healthier neighborhoods by addressing pollution at its source, accelerating building electrification, and investing in public transit and bike lanes.”
