LOS ANGELES COUNTY (July 8, 2025)—The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV), which supports pro-environment candidates throughout Los Angeles County, announced its endorsement of Katy Yaroslavsky for re-election to City Council District 5 for the June 2, 2026 primary election. Councilmember Yaroslavsky is a champion for clean air in our neighborhoods: she pushed successfully for an oil drilling site that had fouled the air in the 9100 block of Pico Blvd to be closed and for remediation of the site at the driller’s expense.  “With the federal government actively dismantling environmental protections and putting our communities at risk, it’s more important than ever that cities like Los Angeles lead.  We must stay focused on our work to close toxic oil wells, make our air cleaner, build resilience, and fight for environmental justice in communities that have been ignored for too long.  The League of Conservation Voters ensures we don’t stand alone in this fight. They push all of us to be bolder, move faster, and lead where others won’t. I’m proud to have their endorsement”, said Councilmember Yaroslavsky.
