Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters endorses
Mayor Terry Tornek for Pasadena City Council
(Los Angeles County) – The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – which has supported pro-environment local candidates throughout Los Angeles County for more than three decades – today announced its endorsement of Mayor Terry Tornek for Pasadena City Council in the upcoming March 3rd election.
“While serving as Mayor for the City of Pasadena, Mayor Tornek has focused on open space and public parks. He is heavily involved in One Arroyo Foundation and hopes to continue this work. He demonstrated clear support and understanding of green energy options for the City of Pasadena and EV infrastructure. We look forward to seeing a continued focus on clean air, public transportation, and green streets for Mayor Tornek,” said LALCV Stephanie Molen, who led the organization’s Endorsement Team for this race.
“I am very grateful to receive the League’s endorsement. Protection and enhancement of the environment have been central to my first term and continuing to pursue those efforts is one of the key motivators for seeking reelection,” said Mayor Tornek.
As a mountain community surrounded by freeways, Pasadena faces environmental challenges, such as fire and air quality, with weather extremes and climate change creating additional pressures. More information on Terry Tornek’s campaign is available at www.tornekformayor.com
