LOS ANGELES COUNTY (September 20, 2020) – The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – supporting pro-environment candidates throughout Los Angeles County – announced its endorsement of Michelle Hammond representing South Pasadena City Council.
“Michelle Hammond, while a first-time candidate, displayed a strong understanding of the environmental and political landscape South Pasadena holds. She is astute, and thoughtful when talking about local environmental issues such as water and energy use, and public transportation opportunities. She has a clear vision of what she would do if elected to the City Council, and how she can gain County support to expand resources for South Pasadena residents,” said Stephanie Molen, LALCV campaign chair. “As a Commissioner on the South Pasadena Mobile and Transportation Infrastructure Commission, she has proved herself an ally to the people, and a thoughtful leader. She will bring the lens of being a small business owner and mother to the work and fight passionately for the wellbeing of her community.”
“I am honored to receive LALCV’s endorsement. I am a Mobility and Transportation Infrastructure Commissioner, and have been recognized for excellence in green practices in business, in my leadership role forming the community garden, and will continue to advocate for environmental issues on a larger scale if elected to the City Council. Climate change is no longer a threat to future generations, it’s at our front doors right here in South Pasadena,” said candidate Michelle Hammond.
