LOS ANGELES COUNTY (September 16, 2020) – The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – supporting pro-environment candidates throughout Los Angeles County, announced its endorsement of Nick Schultz representing Burbank City Council.
“Nick Schultz clearly articulated a strong understanding of the environmental issues facing Burbank and Los Angeles County; from air and water quality, the need to conserve water and energy, to transportation, and environmental justice concerns. He is aware of the influence Burbank has in the region and a plan to take action if elected to City Council,” said Stephanie Molen, LALCV campaigns chair. “Nick Schultz will make it a point to lead on environmental issues and champion them for Burbank residents while serving on city council.”
“As a lifelong environmentalist, I am incredibly honored to have earned the endorsement of the Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters. The latest round of devastating wildland fires on the West Coast reflects that the impending climate disaster is here. The time for action is now. We must rise to the occasion and fight to put our communities on the path to climate recovery,” said Nick Schultz. “If elected to the Burbank City Council, I will do everything I can to reimagine and reshape our local economy in a manner that significantly reduces our collective carbon footprint. I look forward to working alongside LALCV to ensure that Burbank is doing its part to fight the climate crisis.”
