LOS ANGELES COUNTY (9/30/24)– The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – supporting pro-environment candidates throughout Los Angeles County – announced its endorsement of Bryce Jepsen for election to Santa Clarita City Council.

Jepsen believes that Santa Clarita needs to have a sustainable vision for the city, including re-starting reporting on the Climate Action Plan. He represents a community that has been affected by climate change, particularly extreme heat. Jepsen will be an advocate for the district and city on critical environmental issues that he views as intertwined with numerous other issues the city faces, including housing, economic development, equitable access, renewable energy, and education.

“Bryce Jepsen will bring a much-needed perspective to Santa Clarita City Council. He will work to reduce waste from plastics, promote solar, support community health, address affordable housing, and be a leader on climate action and habitat protection in the city,” said LALCV President Shona Ganguly.

“I want to thank the Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters for giving me their time and endorsement. I want to champion environmental rights in Santa Clarita since our city has failed to keep its promises of its climate action plan. My hope is that we come together as a community, whether in Santa Clarita or across the US, and bring a more sustainable future to a world under threat by climate change,” said Bryce Jepsen.
