LOS ANGELES COUNTY (October 16, 2024) – The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – supporting pro-environment candidates throughout Los Angeles County – announced its endorsement of Guillermo Gonzalez who is running for Pomona City Council, District 4.
The LALCV board of directors voted to endorse Guillermo Gonzalez in his campaign for Pomona City Council’s 4th District due to his strong platform promoting environmental justice and more sustainable housing development.
“We’re excited to endorse Guillermo Gonzalez. The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters shares his focus on helping underserved communities of Pomona who are historically burdened by the negative effects of poor air quality. We also share his passion for building more sustainable and walkable communities to encourage residents to get out of their vehicles while simultaneously helping with the housing affordability crisis,” said Joshua Torres, LALCV Board Member and endorsement lead for Pomona.
“I am thrilled that the Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters has endorsed me for Pomona City Council. We all have a stake in preserving our planet and its natural resources. I will champion policies that focus on sustainability and environmental justice to ensure that future generations have a habitable planet,” said Guillermo Gonzalez.
