LOS ANGELES COUNTY (October 7, 2024)– The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – supporting pro-environment candidates throughout Los Angeles County –  announced its endorsement of Je-Show Yang for Alhambra City Council District 4.

With his professional background in transportation infrastructure and environmental justice, Je-Show Yang is poised to tackle the City of Alhambra’s pressing environmental challenges, including air and water quality, extreme heat, tree canopy, and safe, climate-resilient streets for all.

“LALCV is thrilled to endorse an experienced multi-modal transit and environmental justice champion for Alhambra City Council,” said Elsa Mei Tung, LALCV board member. “Je-Show Yang will be the thoughtful, community-focused progressive leader that Alhambra needs to meet its sustainability and environmental goals.”

“I have been a long-time environmental justice advocate within Alhambra and the greater San Gabriel Valley,” said Je-Show Yang. “From successfully planting more trees, advocating for cleaner air regulations, and safer streets in our neighborhoods, I believe everyone deserves to live in a healthy environment. When we make these changes, it’s not just about improving the scenery—it’s about making our community a better place for families to grow and thrive. I’m grateful for LALCV’s support because it is a testament to being on the right path: a path with allies pushing for clean air, green spaces, and a healthier future for everyone.”
