LOS ANGELES COUNTY (September 20, 2020 )– The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – supporting pro-environment candidates and measures throughout Los Angeles County – announced its endorsement of Measure J in Los Angeles County.
The Re-Imagine L.A. Coalition that is comprised of over 100 organizations is working to pass Measure J to dismantle systemic racism by investing in health, housing, and jobs in Los Angeles County. The reallocation of at least 10% of Los Angeles County’s budget to community investments and alternatives to incarceration would address critical needs, such as mental health, youth development, small business, job creation, and affordable housing.
“It is imperative that Angelenos invest in addressing the stark inequities we witness or experience in our communities to advance social and environmental justice,” said Shona Calzada Ganguly, LALCV vice president.
“Yes on Measure J is proud to be endorsed by the LA League of Conservation Voters,” said Isaac Bryan, co-chair of YES on Measure J. “LALCV has always been and continues to be a leading organization that is dedicated to taking action to advance justice and the issues that provide the people of Los Angeles with better quality life today and into the future.”
