Yes on SMLOS ANGELES COUNTY (October 13, 2020)  – The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – supporting pro-environment candidates and ballot measures throughout Los Angeles County – announced its support of Measure SM in the City of Santa Monica.

“The City of Santa Monica and the Council continue to be leaders in the environmental movement, setting an example for other small coastal cities in California” said LALCV Immediate Past-President Stephanie Molen. “It is for this reason we support Measure SM to raise funds for the City of Santa Monica’s general fund.”

“The support of LALCV means a great deal to our campaign to pass Measure SM for a strong Santa Monica. We are thrilled to have environmental leaders join our growing coalition of firefighters, education, business and labor, all working together to pass this local measure for critically needed funds to keep our city clean, safe and strong,” said Mayor Kevin McKeown. “Santa Monica’s leadership on environment and sustainability will survive this COVID downturn, and your vote for Measure SM will provide needed funds to implement our adopted Climate Action and Adaptation Plan.”
