LALCV Endorses Francis Pollara and Geoff Baum for Pasadena Area Community College District Board of Trustees, Area 1

The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV), that supports pro-environment candidates throughout Los Angeles County, announced a dual endorsement of Francis Pollara and Geoff Baum for the Pasadena Area Community College District (PACCD) Board of Trustees, Area 1 race in the November 3, 2026 election

Francis Pollara is an appointed public servant, economic development executive, and Pasadena City College (PCC) alumnus with deep environmental policy expertise who knows firsthand the life-changing values of a quality community college education. As PACCD Trustee, Pollara will work to strengthen campus infrastructure sustainability and climate resilience, incorporate climate action with education and student workforce development, and rebuild the community impacted by Eaton Fire.

“I’m honored to be endorsed by the Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters. I’ve spent much of my career working on climate, conservation, and resilience, and I’m excited to bring that experience to PCC,” said Francis Pollara, candidate for Pasadena Area Community College District Board of Trustees, Area 1. “We have an opportunity to prepare students for the clean-energy economy while making smart, sustainable investments in the future of our college.”

Geoff Baum is an experienced civic and education leader and a former PACCD Trustee who understands the importance of community sustainability, climate action, and student career development for a sustainable and resilient future. As PACCD Trustee, Baum will focus on advancing Eaton Fire recovery, reducing transportation emissions for student commute, and campus infrastructure sustainability.

“Thank you to the Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters for its endorsement. Environmental stewardship has been an important part of my work in Pasadena and in higher education,” said Geoff Baum, candidate for Pasadena Area Community College District Board of Trustees, Area 1. “At PCC, we will expand opportunities for students to prepare for careers in clean energy and sustainable technologies, while making sure the college remains a responsible steward of its facilities and resources.”
