LALCV Endorses Helen Krieger for West Hollywood City Council

LOS ANGELES COUNTY (October 10, 2026) — The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV), which supports pro-environment candidates throughout Los Angeles County, announced its endorsement of Helen Krieger for West Hollywood City Council.

“Helen Krieger has a bold climate vision for West Hollywood that includes decarbonizing the City’s housing stock, connecting housing with jobs and public transit, and expanding protected bike lanes. Having lived through the devastation of Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath, Helen understands firsthand the urgency of confronting the climate crisis. Her passion, determination, and lived experience will bring an important new perspective to the West Hollywood City Council as the City works toward a more sustainable and climate-resilient future. We are proud to endorse her,” said Maro Kakoussian, President of LALCV.

“As someone who lived through the effects of climate change in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina, I’m committed to reducing our greenhouse gas emissions in West Hollywood by creating a denser, more walkable, livable city,” said Helen Krieger.
