The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV), which supports pro-environment candidates throughout Los Angeles County, endorses Asam Sheikh for re-election to Torrance City Council District 3.
During his first term, Asam Sheikh oversaw the planting of more than 500 trees in the district, especially adjacent to the Torrance Refinery, and established monthly “hot spot” visits to address neighborhood infrastructure and quality of life issues. He wants to expand water recycling in the city and find practical solutions to enhance health and safety at the Torrance Refinery in partnership with federal and state leaders. LALCV is excited to support Asam’s rising environmental leadership.
