The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV), that supports pro-environmental candidates throughout Los Angeles County, announces its endorsement of Lynne Plambeck for Director, Division Three, Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency.
The Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency delivers imported water to retail water agencies across 197 square miles of the Santa Clarita Valley and operates two water treatment plants and 45 wells. Leadership of this drinking water system that faces challenges of emerging contaminants, rising costs and infrastructure deficits demands an exceptionally qualified person.
Lynne Plambeck has served on the Newhall County Water District Board and previously served on the former Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency. For more than twenty years, she has worked for sustainable water planning and watershed protection. “Ms. Plambeck is an experienced and skilled leader with long experience working in the Santa Clarita Valley watershed, and we heartily endorse her for this critical office,” stated Maro Kakoussian, President, LALCV.
