Amy Young Mi Burns (she/her/hers)
Amy Young Mi Burns is a non-profit professional with a background in environmental science and international development. She currently works as a Senior Associate on the Global Cause Partnerships team of UNICEF USA where she supports new business efforts in the development of partnerships with like-minded NGOs and civil society organizations. UNICEF USA supports UNICEF, the United Nations agency responsible for providing humanitarian and developmental aid to children, through fundraising, advocacy and education in the United States. UNICEF works with partners around the world to identify and implement affordable, scalable solutions that will help curb the impact of climate change, and enable us to leapfrog to cleaner, more sustainable economies. Amy is also a board member of North Valley Caring Services, a community-based non-profit that is helping to alleviate poverty and provide economic and educational opportunities to those in need in the Northeast San Fernando Valley. Prior to working at UNICEF USA, Amy worked in business operations roles for Elevate Services, a legal tech company, and for The Nature Conservancy, an environmental conservation non-profit. Amy received her Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Biology from Georgetown University and her Master of Public Administration degree, with a focus on Environmental Science and Policy, from Columbia University.
