When to Vote

Some cities have elections in odd years, some in even years; some in the spring and some in the fall months. To get an up-to-date list of forthcoming elections in Los Angeles County and the dates by which one has to register to participate, please go to the County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s Elections, Dates and Deadlines page.

Register to Vote

Are you registered to vote? If you don’t know, you can click here and fill in an on-line form to find out. If you are not registered, you can download a voter registration form, sign it, and mail it in. You can also pick up a form at your local library or U.S. Post Office.

Candidate Fundraising

Want to know how much a candidate has raised and from whom? To see disclosure statements for races within the City of Los Angeles, go to the City Ethics Commission’s Disclosure Statements page. Information about fundraising by Los Angeles County candidates and measures can be accessed on the County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s Campaign Finance Reports page. The City of Long Beach provides disclosure statements on the City Clerk Department’s Campaign Finance Database page. For information on contributions in other cities, check the City’s website.
