Los Angeles, CA – The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV), which has supported pro-environment local candidates in communities across Los Angeles County for more than three decades, announced its endorsement of Carl Southwell for the West Basin Municipal Water District Division 1 seat in the upcoming November 4th election.
“As founder of the Earth Sciences Communication Initiative at the USC Annenberg School for Communications and Journalism, which is working on educating the public on climate issues, Carl has become well-versed in the issues facing the Water District and the strong connection between climate and water resource issues,” said Tom Eisenhauer, President of LALCV. “We believe Carl has the grasp and commitment to these issues that the District needs as it addresses the many challenges ahead. We are pleased to give him our support.”
