Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters endorses
Karen Farrer for Malibu City Council
(Los Angeles County) – The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – which has supported pro-environment local candidates throughout Los Angeles County for more than three decades – today announced its endorsement of Karen Farrer for Malibu City Council in the upcoming November 6thelection.
“Karen Farrer has long been an active in the Malibu community including in the school system where she worked to address pressing environmental issues. Farrer would bring valuable learnings from this experience to Council in order to effectively champion issues such as open space, waste prevention and toxin reduction,” said LALCV Director Kirsten James, who led the organization’s Endorsement Team for this race.
As a coastal community with significant visitor traffic, Malibu faces many environmental challenges, with frequent periods of drought and climate change creating additional pressures. Farrer will serve Malibu well by protecting open spaces, curbing the use of toxins, and implementing water quality protections.
