Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters endorses
Lance Simmens for Malibu City Council

(Los Angeles County) – The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – which has supported pro-environment local candidates throughout Los Angeles County for more than three decades – today announced its endorsement of Lance Simmens for Malibu City Council in the upcoming November 6th election.

“As a long-time environmental practitioner, Lance Simmens would bring to the Malibu Council extensive knowledge of environmental issues and solutions,” said LALCV Director Kirsten James, who led the organization’s Endorsement Team for this race. “This experience would help generate creative solutions to address Malibu’s many environmental challenges.”

As a coastal community with significant visitor traffic, Malibu faces many environmental challenges, with frequent periods of drought and climate change creating additional pressures. Simmens will serve Malibu well by protecting open spaces, implementing traffic solutions, and developing water quality protections.
