Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters endorses
Sue Himmelrich, Kevin McKeown & Pam O’Connor
for Santa Monica City Council
(Los Angeles County) – The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – which has supported pro-environment local candidates throughout Los Angeles County for more than three decades – today announced its endorsement of Councilmembers Sue Himmelrich, Kevin McKeown and Pam O’Connor for re-election to the Santa Monica City Council in the November 6 election.
“Thanks to the leadership of Kevin McKeown, Pam O’Connor, Sue Himmelrich, and their colleagues on the City Council, Santa Monica is shining example of an effective, pro-environment city,” said LALCV President Stephanie Molen.
“Pam O’Connor has demonstrated the effectiveness of local and regional approaches to mobility, air quality and other vital priorities that make Santa Monica and all of Southern California more livable and sustainable,” Molen said.
“Sue Himmelrich has been a tireless champion for pro-environment solutions integrating affordable housing and sustainable, transit-oriented and pedestrian-focused community development,” Molen said.
“Kevin McKeown has an extraordinary track record of advancing successful strategies for urban sustainability, mass transit, and affordable housing,” Molen said.
“O’Connor, Himmelrich and McKeown are each an experienced environmental leader who will keep delivering for Santa Monica priorities like renewable energy, water sustainability, affordable housing and mobility and mass transit,” Molen said.
