Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters Endorses Dan Brotman for
Glendale City Council
(Los Angeles, CA) – The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV), the only environmental political action committee in Los Angeles County, announced its endorsement of Dan Brotman for Glendale City Council.
“We are excited to endorse Dan Brotman for Glendale City Council. Dan has a proven record of being willing to take on the tough fights and issues that affect the health and quality of life of Glendale residents. He has long been a leader in the environmental movement in the city and will make an exceptional, thoughtful and committed City Councilmember,” said Michael Kadish, LALCV President.
Brotman is a professor and longtime community advocate, who founded the Glendale Environmental Coalition and led the fight to get the City to rethink its renovation of the Grayson gas plant. Brotman is also committed to addressing the climate risks Glendale is facing including fire risk, rising temperatures that are increasing smog formation and threats to the water supplies.
“I am running for office in a region battling wildfires exacerbated by climate change. LALCV is therefore one of the most important endorsements I could receive. I am honored to be a part of LALCV’s plan to create a more sustainable, resilient, and thriving Glendale,” said candidate Brotman.
“We believe Dan is the experienced advocate that Glendale needs as it continues to face growing environmental challenges and the impacts of climate change,” LALCV’s Kadish added.
