Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters endorses
Dr. Loraine Lundquist for Los Angeles City Council District 12
(Los Angeles County) – The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – which has supported pro-environment local candidates throughout Los Angeles County for more than three decades – announced its Pro-forma endorsement of Loraine Lundquist to represent Council District 12 in the Los Angeles City Council in the upcoming March 3rd election.
“Loraine Lundquist has already shown she is a strong environmental candidate for CD 12 and for all of Los Angeles,”said LALCV Endorsement Chair Michael Kadish. “As a City Councilmember, she will bring a much-needed voice guided by scientific expertise and progressive values to City Hall. We remain confident that she is the most qualified candidate to lead her community on so many important issues from wildfires to the Green New Deal and the closure of Aliso Canyon.”
“As a mother and a scientist, addressing the climate crisis, shutting down the Aliso Canyon gas facility and building a more sustainable city for future generations are among my top priorities. I am honored to have the support of the Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters whose mission is intrinsically aligned with my own. I look forward to continuing our work together to deliver cleaner air, access to safe drinking water and green spaces for every Angeleno. LALCV and the Northwest Valley deserve a Councilmember who will be a committed partner in the fight for environmental justice.” said Loraine Lundquist.
