Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters endorses
Deborah Klein Lopez and Harry Schwartzfor Agoura HillsCity Council
(Los Angeles County) – The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – which has supported pro-environment local candidates throughout Los Angeles County for more than three decades – today announced its endorsement of Deborah Klein Lopez and Councilmember Harry Schwartz for Agoura Hills City Council in the upcoming November 6 election.
“Deborah Klein Lopez grew up in the City, and since moving back to Agoura Hills she has focused on environmental and sustainability issues for her community in order to better the lives of her neighbors and family. As an avid hiker, she fell in love with nature and connected with the need to preserve open space for all.” says Stephanie Molen, Board President. “Ms. Klein Lopez has been a vocal environmental leader in support of the Clean Power Alliance, and she supports local public transit, and wants to address light pollution. She will be a leading voice on the council if elected.
“Councilmember Harry Schwarz has focused on water-supply and run-off during his tenure on the council and has served for 13 years on the city’s Environmental Committee. If re-elected he pledges to work on a plastic straw ban resolution, wastewater treatment facility, supporting the building of the wildlife bridge and the implementation of the Clean Power Alliance, Community Choice Aggregation of clean energy.”
