(Los Angeles County) – The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) — which has supported pro-environment local candidates throughout Los Angeles County for more than four decades — today announced its endorsement of Hydee Feldstein Soto for Los Angeles City Attorney in the Nov. 8 general election.
With the need for decisive action to confront climate change and the environmental justice crisis in our region, the City of Los Angeles needs a City Attorney with the know-how to tackle air and water pollution, while making sure investments in public transportation can move forward without delay, and address housing and land use regulatory issues head-on. Hydee Feldstein Soto will serve the people of Los Angeles by making sure sustainability plans get the legal support needed for implementation and that common-sense environmental enforcement happens in every neighborhood.
“Thank you to the Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters for the important work you do,” said Hydee Feldstein Soto. “I am proud to have earned your endorsement and look forward to using the City Attorney’s office to promote and protect clean air and water and a safe, healthy environment for every community the City- regardless of zip code.”
“Hydee Feldstein Soto has been a strong environmental advocate at the community level,” said LALCV Board Member Jim Kennedy, who was part of the organization’s endorsement team for this race. “When elected, Hydee will continue to be a leader in the fight to make the environment a top priority in the City Attorney’s office.”
