LOS ANGELES COUNTY (September 22, 2020)
The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – supporting pro-environment candidates throughout Los Angeles County – announced its endorsement of Juan Garza for Water Replenishment District, Division 5
As the Mayor of Bellflower and past President of the League of California Cities – Los Angeles County Division, Juan Garza has earned the trust and support of elected officials within the service area of the Water Replenishment District, Division 5. In addition to years of hard work on public policy to ensure a sustainable future, Juan comes with a deep knowledge of water issues from working on securing safe and clean water resources for his community and working at the Long Beach Water Department. Juan understands the environmental focus needs to be on making the most of our local water resources.
LALCV Board President Michael Kadish expressed his confidence in this endorsement. “We trust Mayor Juan Garza will further the good work of the Water Replenishment District to develop and ensure quality groundwater which is the backbone many of our recycling and stormwater capture projects need to become independent of imported water.”
“I am thankful for the trust the Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters puts in my candidacy, and my vision to step up the challenges of progressive ideas for water conservation and innovative approaches to ensure our right to safe and clean drinking water,” said candidate Juan Garza.
