Kathye ArmintageLOS ANGELES COUNTY (9/22/2020)– The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – supporting pro-environment candidates throughout Los Angeles County –  announced its endorsement of Kathye Armitage for Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency, Division 3.

Kathye is one of the most prepared candidates and would bring new leadership to the water district.  In addition to her long career in public health, Kathye has been a committee member for both groundwater sustainability and contamination clean up over the past couple of years. If elected to the board, Kathye wants to focus on groundwater contamination clean up, ensure water resources are sustainable, and foster greater community engagement, including creating Youth/Student Advocate Role at the agency that is connected to the local school district and their environmental science courses.

LALCV Board President Michael Kadish believes “Kathye Armitage is the candidate we need to challenge the status quo and make sustainable water recycling and stormwater capture the top priority.”

Kathye Armitage believes in the importance of having environmental policy as her top campaign priority. “Receiving the LALCV endorsement furthers my water sustainability message and helps build trust with our communities by showing them that I will advocate for safe, clean, and affordable drinking water for everyone.”
