Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters endorses Kevin Shin for Long Beach City Council District 7.

(Los Angeles County) – The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – which has supported pro-environment local candidates throughout Los Angeles County for more than three decades – today announced its endorsement of Kevin Shin for Long Beach City Council District 7 in the upcoming election.

“Kevin Shin is a strong leader for community health, the environment and mobility,” said Angelo Logan, of the LALCV Endorsement Team. “He is a powerful and effective leader with a real plan to reduce localized and regional air pollution, advance equitable land use and increase water conservation and stormwater capture”.

Kevin has been deeply involved in the local community and co-founded Walk Bike Long Beach, a local advocacy group dedicated to improving pedestrian and bicycle safety and infrastructure, especially in the lower-income communities of color of Central, North, and West Long Beach.  Kevin is committed to improving the quality of life for Long Beach 7th District residents, a community that is severely impacted by pollution, environmental injustice, inequitable land use, and poor infrastructure and services.
