(Los Angeles County) – The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – which has supported pro-environment local candidates throughout Los Angeles County for more than three decades – today announced its endorsement of Nils Nehrenheim for Redondo Beach City Council, District 1 in the upcoming March 2nd election.

“I am humbled by the League to be endorsed again,” said Nils Nehrenheim. “This truly shows that I have been able to deliver on my promises of open space, clean water and to be a conservator of the environment. With my teammate Mayor Bill Brand, the next four years are bright!”

As a coastal community in a highly urbanized region, Redondo Beach faces many environmental challenges, with drought and climate change creating additional pressures. Nehrenheim will serve Redondo Beach well by protecting open spaces, creating a bikeable and walkable community, and implementing water quality protections.

“Nils Nehrenheim has a proven track record of addressing pressing environmental issues while serving on Council. As a Los Angeles County lifeguard and a small business owner, he brings to Council a unique perspective of how open space and clean water can be beneficial for business,” said LALCV Board Member Kirsten James.
