LOS ANGELES COUNTY (October 16, 2024) – The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – supporting pro-environment candidates throughout Los Angeles County – announced its endorsement of Rachel Forester who is running for Claremont City Council, District 1.
The LALCV board of directors voted to endorse Rachel Forester in her campaign for Claremont City Council due to a well established history of community involvement and a deep understanding of environmental issues. Rachel has articulated a clear vision for building a more sustainable and inclusive Claremont, prioritizing the lack of middle-income housing and the need for diverse transportation options to help reduce vehicle miles traveled.
“Rachel has an impressive understanding of environmental issues with a clear vision for a more sustainable and inclusive Claremont. She will provide a voice on the council for renters and other underrepresented community members,” said Joshua Torres, LALCV Board Member and endorsement lead for Claremont.
“I am proud to be endorsed by the Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters. We share the understanding that true environmental sustainability comes from collective action. I look forward to the work of making Claremont and the greater LA area examples of sustainability,” said Rachel Forester.
