(Los Angeles County) – The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – which has supported pro-environment local candidates throughout Los Angeles County for more than three decades – today announced its endorsement of Todd Loewenstein for Redondo Beach City Council, District 2 in the upcoming March 2nd election.
“We are happy to endorse Todd Loewenstein for re-election to Redondo Beach City Council. Over the past four years, Todd has been a champion for environmental causes,” said LALCV Board Member Stephanie Molen. “His efforts include fighting to shut down the AES Redondo Power Plant, protecting the Redondo Pier and Harbor from overdevelopment, helping pass a ban on single-use plastics and public smoking, and finally, voting to switch Redondo Beach’s residences and businesses to more renewable energy sources by joining the Clean Power Alliance. Todd’s actions embody the core values of our organization’s environmental efforts.”
“We’re excited to receive the LALCV endorsement for the second time. Our values for protecting the environment in Redondo Beach are in complete alignment. Getting LALCV’s endorsement is a signal to voters that care about the environment who is the best candidate to cast a vote for, so we’re obviously honored to receive LALCV’s vote of confidence,” said Todd Loewenstein’s campaign.
