2018 Welcomes New Leadership

The Board is excited to welcome Stephanie Molen as incoming Board President, and Shona Ganguly as incoming Vice President. Stephanie has served on the LALCV Board for over eleven years, ten of which she held a chair or leadership positions and served on the Executive Board of LALCV. Her dedication to the mission of LALCV is to be commended. “As LALCV Board members, we are committed to identifying not just a good candidate, but the BEST candidate whose focus will be to protect the environment in order to preserve the planet, as well as the health of their constituents. This work has transformed cities, and the acknowledgment of LALCV’s work has grown tremendously over the past 39 years”, said Stephanie in a recent candidate statement to our fellow Board members, for LALCV President.

Vice President Shona Ganguly, who served as Communications Committee Chair prior to being elected Vice President is looking to continue rolling up her sleeves to support the Board members and continue ongoing efforts to prioritize diversity and inclusion. “Ensuring that we recruit diverse Board members has been a priority for me. It is critical that we expand our network and reach diverse candidates from across LA County, from different sectors, and from diverse ethnic backgrounds. Board diversity is an asset and a way to directly address equity,” said Shona.

As the Board welcomes new leadership, they are also grateful for the leadership of outgoing Board President, Tom Eisenhauer. Tom will continue to serve on the Board of LALCV and will continue to work with incoming leadership in this transition period.
