(Los Angeles County) – The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) today announced its endorsement of Janice Hahn for Los Angeles County Board of Supervisor District 4 in the upcoming March 5 election.

Janice Hahn has been an environmental champion throughout her career. Some of her most impactful actions include creating the new L.A. County Office of Environmental Justice and Climate Health, repeatedly stepping in to protect communities from industrial pollution, working to accelerate clean up efforts in communities impacted by Exide, and banning new oil drilling in L.A. County. Looking ahead, she has worked on plans to expand zero-emissions charging stations in underserved communities, as well as to phase out existing oil wells while ensuring that workers can transition to good-paying jobs in renewable energy industries.

“Janice Hahn has been a bold leader in the fight against climate change,” said LALCV Board Member, Jim Kennedy. “She has worked to prioritize investments in clean and renewable energy, like wind and solar, and she has stood up time and again to polluters. We need Janice Hahn to keep up the fight to protect our air, water and land across LA County. For these reasons, among others, the Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters is proud to endorse Janice Hahn’s re-election campaign for Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.”
