LOS ANGELES COUNTY (Feb. 18, 2024) – The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – supporting pro-environment candidates throughout Los Angeles County –  announced its endorsement of Jonathan Horton to represent the Fourth District on the Pasadena City Council.

Mr. Horton has a clear vision to implement the city’s transition to 100% carbon neutral resources, improving air quality and protecting the City’s natural resources.  The City of Pasadena has the opportunity to lead the region as it incorporates multi-modal transportation options and Mr. Horton looks to lead the re-imagination of the land currently set aside for automobiles to transition towards community serving uses.

“LALCV is proud to support the visionary leaders that are advancing policies that protect our environment for tomorrow’s generations,” said Shona Ganguly, President of the LALCV Board.  “As a former representative working in the communities of Pasadena’s Fourth District, Jonathan Horton knows the challenges to improving air quality and adaption to climate change and he is the right candidate to implement real solutions.”

“The environment touches every aspect of our lives,” said Jonathan Horton, candidate for Pasadena City Council.  “It is impossible to secure Pasadena’s future without substantial investments into sustainability. Therefore, we must consider the climate when addressing housing, health, economic policy, and more. I look forward to working alongside LALCV to achieve a cleaner, greener Pasadena.”
