LOS ANGELES COUNTY Feb. 16, 2024 —  The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – supporting pro-environment candidates throughout Los Angeles County for decades –  announced its endorsement of Telly Tse for Glendale School Board Area A.

Tse is a long time special education teacher and involved in both the teacher’s labor movement and community volunteer work, and has served on the boards of the California Teachers Association and the National Education Association where he speaks out passionately for students of color, the LGBTQ+ community, students with special needs, and the inclusion of Armenian education in public education. He is highly committed to addressing the specific environmental challenges facing the school district and his strategies for making them a key part of his agenda. He is endorsed by the County Democratic Party, the teacher’s union, local and state electeds and many more.

“Telly has comprehensive knowledge of the many ways that school boards can take the lead in making our schools more environmentally sustainable and resilient,” said Shona Ganguly, President of LALCV. “Telly will be a strong advocate for those goals and initiatives, along with his commitment to an inclusive and diverse school system, which is under attack by far right candidates running in these races. We wholeheartedly support his candidacy and look forward to working with him when he wins a seat on the school board.”

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters,” said Tse. “Preserving our environment and building a sustaining world is more important than ever and as a school board member, I will work to ensure that our schools, educators, and students do their part to make this happen.”
