LOS ANGELES COUNTY (February 16, 2024) – The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – supporting pro-environment candidates throughout Los Angeles County –  announced its endorsement of Herlinda Chico who is running for Long Beach City Council.

Herlinda is committed to improving access to and the quality of green spaces, including the San Gabriel River. She is committed to helping the city transition off of its dependence on fossil fuels. Her experience working in local government and with communities gives us confidence in her ability to be an environmental leader.

“Herlinda’s dedication to environmental stewardship aligns seamlessly with our mission to elect leaders who are committed to preserving and protecting our environment,” said Joshua Torres, LALCV Board Member. “We believe that, with Herlinda’s leadership, Long Beach can become a shining example of sustainable practices, and we are confident in her ability to advocate for policies that prioritize the well-being of our planet.
