LOS ANGELES COUNTY (January 26, 2024)– The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – supporting pro-environment candidates throughout Los Angeles County – announced its endorsement of Ryan Liu representing Pasadena Community College District, Board Member, Trustee Area Number 6.
Ryan Liu is an attorney and advocate for accessible higher education. As a first-generation trailblazer in many different arenas, he has dedicated his life’s work to guaranteeing that others can access the same opportunities he had.
“LALCV prides itself in investing in candidates that not only champion environmental protections but also represent core leadership values we believe are important in today’s society,” said LALCV Board Member, Diana Leon. “Ryan Liu has shown his commitment to a myriad of accessible work and we could not be happier to endorse a new generation of leadership in Pasadena Community College.”

As one of the largest institutions in the City of Pasadena, Pasadena City College (PCC) can set an example for how we tackle pressing environmental challenges with both our facilities and our academic programs. As the campus engages in new post-bond construction and renovation projects, we should ensure that these projects prioritize sustainability and environmental responsibility, including using energy-efficient lighting solutions and low-flow plumbing fixtures. Beyond just facilities, PCC should create programs to prepare our students to enter emerging climate-related industries, such as the installation and maintenance of electric vehicle charging stations. As a Trustee, I look forward to helping PCC further its commitment to meeting environmental goals as we enter the College’s centennial in 2024,” said candidate Ryan Liu.
