Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters endorses Rex Richardson for Long Beach City Council District 9
(Los Angeles County) – The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – which has supported pro-environment local candidates throughout Los Angeles County for more than three decades – today announced its endorsement of Rex Richardson in Long Beach City Council District 9 in the upcoming April 10 election.
“Rex Richardson has been a strong environmental advocate in Long Beach during his 4-year tenure on the City Council,” said LALCV Director Tanya Peacock, who led the organization’s Endorsement Team for this race. “As a Councilmember, he will continue to be a leader in the fight for open space, clean tech jobs, wetlands preservation and clean air.”
Today, with the region suffering from air pollution and other impacts of proximity to the ports, Richardson will serve Long Beach by promoting clean freight, increasing mobility and encouraging alternative modes of transportation.
