Culver City Candidates 2020LOS ANGELES COUNTY (September 20, 2020) – The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – supporting pro-environment candidates throughout Los Angeles County – announced its endorsement of Yasmine-Imani McMorrin, Darrel Menthe, and Freddy Puza representing Culver City Council.

Yasmine-Imani McMorrin has advocated for diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout her career and will ensure that her experience and listening to the community inform her decisions, especially to improve transit and housing for the unhoused. Darrel Menthe has been working to bridge business and environmental interests. Freddy Puza has been focused on social justice and community building, and he will work to invest in parks, the creative economy, and water conservation. Shutting down the Inglewood Oil Field is a priority for all three candidates.

I am proud to receive the endorsement of the Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters, a progressive advocacy group that promotes candidates committed to protecting and preserving the environment. It is encouraging that LALCV recognizes my intention to push sound policies to ensure that Culver City residents have clean air, clean water, and responsible development. If elected, I pledge to continue championing environmentally sustainable policies to ensure a better future for our city, said Yasmine-Imani McMorrin.

I’m thrilled and honored to receive the endorsement of the Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters. Culver City is in the right place to become a leader in the Los Angeles basin in making bold choices for a greener future. I will strive to live up to the confidence placed in me by the LALCV, by fighting for environmental justice and sustainability in Culver City and beyond, said Darrel Menthe.

It’s such an honor to have been endorsed by the L.A League of Conservation Voters. Their commitment to preserving and protecting the environment aligns with the values of my campaign,” said Puza. “Time is literally running out. The United Nations warns that there will be drastic consequences if we do not significantly reduce carbon emissions by 2030. I’m committed to being a champion for the environment and sustainability starting day one,” said Freddy Puza.
