(Los Angeles County) – The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) today announced its endorsement of Felicia Williams for Pasadena City Council District 2 in the upcoming March 5 election.

“When LALCV endorsed Felicia Williams for City Council in 2020, we were impressed by her environmental acumen and passion. We have watched her successfully fight to improve the environment and address environmental impacts throughout her term. She is an environmental leader who is best suited to meet the needs of Pasadena and its residents, and can succeed in further greening the city in District 2,” said Stephanie Molen, LALCV Board Member and Campaigns Chair.

In her first term, Felicia Williams led on several environmental initiatives for Pasadena and her district. She led the Pasadena City Council to declare a climate emergency and set a goal of reaching 100% carbon-free by 2030 with a focus on reliability and affordability. Williams reintroduced an ordinance that banned the sale and use of gas-powered leaf blowers and installed a community composting facility in McDonald Park. She has a long standing commitment to lead Pasadena to a clean energy future.

“I installed solar, rainwater barrels, a cool roof, drought tolerant landscaping, and an EV charger in my home, even before some of the rebates were available,” Williams said about her zero net energy home, which was originally constructed in 1922. “I have always felt that if I am going to ask the public to do something, I should first do it myself!”
