LOS ANGELES COUNTY (Tuesday, January 16)– The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – supporting pro-environment candidates throughout Los Angeles County – announced its endorsement of Serena Oberstein for Los Angeles City Council District 12 in the upcoming March 5th election.

Serena’s career as a nonprofit executive and civic leader has demonstrated a commitment to human rights, ethics reform, and building cross-sectoral alliances.

“Serena’s commitment to meeting LA’s ambitious climate change goals and transitioning to a clean energy economy, while ensuring job creation is a core part of the transition, makes her well-equipped to serve as the Councilmember for LA’s 12th Council District,” said Adam Lane, LALCV Board Member. “She has articulated a clear vision to address transportation emissions, the growing threat of wildfires and natural disasters, and water conservation in the face of vulnerable water resources.”

“I am honored to have the support of the LALCV, who understand that our community can’t wait for our urgent environmental needs to become priorities,” said Serena Oberstein. “The disaster of Aliso Canyon and wildfires here in CD12 are ever present dangers that must be addressed by our City Council member and not ignored by politicians. I’m proud to partner with them on real solutions as we work toward healthier, greener neighborhoods.”
