LOS ANGELES COUNTY (January 18)– The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – supporting pro-environment candidates throughout Los Angeles County –  announced its endorsement of Quemars Ahmed representing La Cañada Flintridge City Council.

La Cañada Flintridge is a city in the foothills of the Verdugo Mountains in Los Angeles County. Located in the Crescenta Valley, on the western edge of the San Gabriel Valley. The city is known for parks, hiking/equestrian trails, the historic Lanterman House, Descanso Gardens, and NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

“Candidate Ahmed was born and raised in the La Cañada Flintridge community and demonstrates a passion for uplifting the quality of life for residents through the improvement and protection of local ecology,” said Stephanie Molen, LALCV Board Member. “He has demonstrated his ability to lead and fight for strong environmental policies and regulations, and we believe he will support and encourage the La Cañada Flintridge city council to go further in implementing and enforcing environmental regulations that will help keep residents safe and healthy for generations to come.”

“As the gateway to Angeles Forest, settled on the Arroyo, La Cañada Flintridge has a duty to not just be stewards but fighters for the environment. I am deeply honored and grateful the LA League of Conservation Voters has endorsed my campaign and commitment to this effort,” said Quemars Ahmed.
