The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV), that supports pro-environment candidates and ballot measures throughout Los Angeles County, endorses Measure PRK.
Los Angeles City Measure PRK, a charter amendment that will double dedicated funding for our city’s parks while imposing no new tax, will protect and enhance health, resilience, and quality of life: progress that is closely aligned with LALCV’s mission.
Los Angeles’ parks, urban tree canopy, and public spaces are essential environmental infrastructure—helping communities withstand extreme heat, improve air quality, expand access to nature, and build greater climate resilience. Yet decades of chronic underfunding have contributed to staffing shortages, deteriorating facilities, fewer recreational opportunities, and significant inequities in access to quality parks.
