Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters endorses Robert Gonzales for San Fernando City Council

(Los Angeles County) – The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – which has supported pro-environment local candidates throughout Los Angeles County for more than three decades – today announced its endorsement of Robert Gonzales for San Fernando City Council in the upcoming March 7th election.

Robert Gonzales is committed to protecting the environment in the City of San Fernando,” said LALCV Director Shona Ganguly, who led the organization’s Endorsement Team for this race. “On the City Council, he will build on his successes that include bringing San Fernando back from the verge of bankruptcy, supporting parks and public transit, and increasing tree canopy.”

Mr. Gonzales is currently serving as the Mayor of the City of San Fernando. He is a lifelong resident, and his family has lived there for five generations. He rides Metrolink to work and is looking forward to Metro’s proposed East San Fernando Valley Corridor project. Mr. Gonzales has made decisions that support environmental stewardship and aims to make the City of San Fernando a model city for sustainability.
