LOS ANGELES COUNTY (January 22, 2024)– The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – supporting pro-environment candidates throughout Los Angeles County –  announced its endorsement of Miguel Santiago for Los Angeles City Council District 14 in the upcoming March 5 election.

“Miguel is a true environmental leader and is exactly the type of candidate that LALCV seeks to support,” said LALCV President Shona Ganguly. “During his tenure in the Assembly and on the LA Community College District Board, he has developed a strong track record on sustainability issues–particularly in delivering hundreds of millions of dollars to clean up the toxic contamination by Exide Technologies. As an LA City Councilmember, Miguel will fight for clean air and clean water – and most importantly for environmental justice in the 14th Council District.”

“I’m incredibly honored to have earned the endorsement of the Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters, particularly given my community’s experience on the frontlines of the fight for environmental justice, and our fight for clean air and water for all communities,” said Miguel Santiago. “I am proud to have worked hand and hand with LALCV throughout my career and look forward to partnering together on the LA City Council to advance innovative climate action, ensure clean air and water, and save our planet for future generations.”
