LOS ANGELES COUNTY (January 24, 2024)– The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – supporting pro-environment candidates throughout Los Angeles County –  announced its endorsement of Bridgett Lewis for Torrance City Council District 2.

Bridgett Lewis currently serves as the Councilmember for District 2, and since taking office in 2022, she has demonstrated impressive environmental leadership on municipal airport pollution, toxic runoff, and water management.

“Bridgett Lewis is a lifelong public servant who truly walks the walk to protect and invest in Torrance’s environmental needs,” said Elsa Tung, LALCV Board Member. “We are excited for her continued leadership on environmental health and climate resiliency, especially exploring safer alternatives to the Modified Hydrofluoric Acid (MHF) used by the Torrance Refinery, and supporting Metro’s extension to Torrance and other public infrastructure investments.”

“I am truly honored to receive the endorsement of the LA League of Conservation Voters, an organization dedicated to environmental stewardship,” said Bridgett Lewis. “Together, we will work towards a sustainable and greener future for our community.”
